Job Title: Cashier
Report line: Financial Accountant
Duty Station: Kampala
Objective: To accurately collect cash made from sales and do the corresponding banking efficiently.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Processing of daily sales returns (DSRs) for Kampala town office and subsequent preparation of respective Journal vouchers for posting into the SAP accounting system
  • Ensure the immediate banking of all sales as per the DSRs into the designated company bank accounts. Thereafter ensure that all DSRs with their corresponding bank slips are forwarded to Kololo immediately.
  • Processing of ticket refunds and reconciliation of DSRs against bank deposits
  • Processing Credit card sales and ensuring all credit slips are delivered to the bank on time
  • Verifying ticket refunds claims and advising the Revenue department and Ticketing agents of the correct amounts to be refunded
  • Debtors circularization by ensuring debtors’ invoices are sent out on time, co-ordinate the debt collection process and participate in the debtors’ reconciliation process for all corporate sales.
  • Any other duties that will be assigned from time to time.


Minimum Requirements:
B.Com or BBA (Accounting) degree from a reputable university; Minimum of 2 years experience in accounting or finance; Proficient with Microsoft Office systems; Knowledge of fares and ticketing is an added advantage. ACCA or any other recognized professional accounting is desirable; Must be highly detail oriented and organized; Excellent communication and analytical skills.
