We fly the Crested Crane, a symbol of the country and this historic nation. Air Uganda has received several accolades from its growing number of customers who have recognized the quality of its service on the ground and in the air. We are proud to have the best punctuality record in East Africa and to be known as a young, vibrant and efficient airline.
Air Uganda is a member of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) and has been in operation since November 2007. Air Uganda is also a member of Celestair Group, with sister airlines in West Africa: Air Burkina and Air Mali, and in Europe: Meridian Fly.
In December 2012, Air Uganda attained the highest safety standard in the airline industry, the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Certification. The IOSA program is an internationally recognized and accepted evaluation system designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline. The IOSA is the benchmark for global safety management in airlines.
